"It is easy to complicate, it is hard to simplify. To complicate it's enough to add whatever you want: colors, shapes, actions, decorations, characters, environments full of things.  Anyone can complicate. Few are able to simplify.”

Saving time is now more than ever a key factor in any company. The simplification often goes hand in hand with this requirement.

It is for this reason that more and more expert users appreciate the simplicity with which they can manage even the most complex manufacturing processes through the use of a single centralized procedure.

Everyone knows that Mago.net already meets this need by providing the BOM Posting procedure by which, where possible, accelerate, either supplement or replace the standard manufacturing procedures.

Perhaps not everyone knows that ... again and even more its potential has been extended!

Now you can keep connected and monitor with simplicity stock movements generated by the load of finished and semi-finished and the unload of semi-finished products and components.

It also available a new standard reporting  that allows the immediate displaying of the movements created and, if it is necessary to make fixes, also, a new procedure that allows you rapid and controlled deletions.

For more details you can contact your dealer representative or consult our Microarea Help & Information Center.

Perhaps not everyone knows that ... the Product Configurator allows us to better respond to customer needs.

Please the customer means creating the conditions for business success.

Are you forced to maintain a huge collection of all possible configurations of your items? Do You need a system to simplify configuration options of the products and their monitoring? Do you want to have an easy and automatic way to drive customers to configure and order more complex products?

Perhaps not everyone knows that ... the Product Configurator is a module that allows Mago.net to better respond to customer needs.

The configurator is born to help the sales staff because, during insertion of an offer of an order by the customer or a sales document, allows you to create a custom product sales for the client using the Questions/Answers interface.

The configurations can be entered manually from the data entry or generated automatically from the sales orders. When in a sales order we insert an article which is associated with a configurable BOM, Mago.net is proposing to create a new Configuration. If we agree to create a new Configuration, the document opens the connection to the Configuration window , in which we are going to enter a new configuration for the product indicated on the document.

The Configuration window lists all questions provided in the BoM and for each question it is proposed the answer set as default but we can modify it to create the configuration required by our customer.

So based on the responses selected you create a new version of the product which is basically a new version of the finished product that uses components associated with the selected answers, who can be modified off course to create the configuration needed.

Based on the answers given, it is also calculated the configuration value which varies depending on the cost of the selected components calculated by reading the lists applied in the Configuration Parameters.

These are some of the Manufacturing needs of every company, to which Microarea responds with the product configurator!

Mago.net and the Labour Management

There were three and a job to be done,

the strongest decided that he would direct the various stages of execution,

the smartest said he would monitor the success of the operation

and the weak had no alternative but to start.."

Charles William Brown

Locate the destination, draw the correct route and start the journey at times may not be sufficient to reach the goal and the good captain knows the importance of control, and if necessary correct, the route during navigation

The organization of team activities and the achivement of the maximum performance from activities carried out by resources is a fundamental result for the expected quality and customer satisfaction. The calculation of the labour cost and the comparison of the actual and the estimated costs allow you to assess more effectively the processing cost and correct any faults.

Perhaps not everyone knows that...

Mago net now provides a better management of labour costs in a way that allows to assign (with the relative times) different resources, teams or workers, to the single operation, both with regard to the setup and for processing and this ... for both the estimate that the actual!

Now it is  possible to assign a list of Teams and / or individual worker that are expected to have to operate as labour of processing and setup .

During the MO confirmation (final or partial) will be able to confirm and / or edit data for each resource, these data will be stored and used to calculate the final balance on the labour cost.

Therefore, all the masks were adjusted where labour is present (for example, the BOM, the variations and the Order of Production) and all the procedures involved in the input or update (eg the MO confirmation, the Processings Rollback or the Edit processings).

Regarding to the  labour commitments, they can be expressed in Percentage of the duration of the operation, or you can specify a Fixed time, that is independent of the timing of the operation.

To enable such management it was created a new tab where you can detail the Workers and the Teams that are committed in the operations with their timing.

So the operation master data was changed with the creation of the labour tab containing a detailed list of Workers and Teams committed to the operation, moreover, for each row, you can specify theresource type (team or Serial number), the labour type (processing or setup) and the number of workers.

Of course in all the windows, which provide for the input or display of the workforce, it has been added a new icon that allows you to invoke this new labour Detail window.

Such information is critical for determining the labour cost and as described above, they are suggested based on the present Labour tab in the operation master data. It is also possible to change what it is proposed in this window, delete a row and / or add a row.

Perhaps not everyone knows that ...Mago.net automatically calculates Production Lead Time

”Time is the most valuable coin in our life"

Theophrastus (greek philosopher)

Today more than ever, companies are measured by the ability of shortening the delivery times and to be on time, thus providing fast response to customer demands is an essential competitive tool.

And then, next to competitiveness factors of quality and cost, it adds a third, the time

The Lead Time is already long been a popular term, and it is a useful parameter to measure the production efficency, and it is therefore normal that many companies are moving to reduce lead time and increase the level of customer service, but to improve we need to measure...

...Perhaps not everyone knows that...…

Mago.net allows you to calculate and automatically update the Production Lead Time displayed in the Item Master Data.

The Calculate Production Lead Time Procedure obtains the average time of production on the basis of actual times and selected and confirmed Manufacturing Orders.

Which better way to ensure thet the goods (or services) are in the right place at the right time, in the right assortment, in the right quantity, in the right condition for presentation, at minimum cost?

For each item the procedure reads all confirmed manufacturing orders, it sums the times and it calculates, based on the total produced quantities, the time required on average to produce a unit of finished product. Once the procedure has ended, you can save the results updating the Lead Time in Item Master Data.

We would also remember that the Lead Time is extremely important fo the Manufacturing Planning, in particular MRP algorithm.
