Perhaps not everyone knows that… The environmental contributions

by Giuseppina Sperico

One of the main bets of our future concerns the recycling of materials and energy recovery.

Thanks to the WEEE and CONAI modules Mago.net is able to automatically calculate when invoicing the eco-contribution based on the type of packaging (CONAI) or on the type of electrical or electronic equipment (WEEE) sold.

The CONAI Environmental Contribution established for each type of packaging material, is the form of financing through which CONAI distributes costs between producers and users for the additional charges of collection for recycling and recovery of packaging waste.

The eco-contribution WEEE is an environment contribution paid in advance, fully dedicated to the management of waste arising from electrical and electronic equipment.

In Mago.net for CONAI the contribution amounts are saved in a table that associates the type of material to the item code.
For WEEE instead can be specified for each item up to two WEEE categories, as required by particular kind of goods such as light fittings in which there is a contribution for the lamp and another for the light fitting.

Loading Mago.net default data the contribution tables are already filled in and also when they are updated, thanks to the management of the start and end dates of validity, you can manage the different contributions for the various periods.

To know in detail the potential of the WEEE and CONAI Mago.net modules, please contact your dealer reference and in addition if you are a MLU subscriber, go to our site and follow the courses NON EXISTING PAGEMago.net - CONAI Environmental Contribution and NON EXISTING PAGEMago.net - WEEE.

MRP and Storages

MRP and Storages

by ERP Manufacturing Team

This month, we deal whit a feature of recent introduction, but, surely interesting for users who use MRP procedure, in advanced mode. This is a new setting to be associated with the storage so that is possible to discriminate its usage during MRP analysis.

Since the beginning, Mago.net distinguishes, among the various storages the defined in the company, those generic than those with special features such to be considered in a different way by the manufacturing modules.
For this reasons there is, inside the storage master data, the sheet “Production Data” where user can set if storage is enabled or not to the production picking.

Unfortunately, this approach was not always sufficient to meet the needs of some users who carrying out a process of production progress and a material planning.
However, thanks also to the continuous action of our partners that we suggest constant improvements and we stimulate and encourage their implementation, it was decided to introduce a new option, just in the storages.

Stating from 2.13 release, it may be activated the “Picking from MRP” for a specific storage; this picking will be done just in a “virtual” way by MRP procedure.
The advantages of this feature are to be found in the concept of planning, which is implicitly inside MRP. By thinking, in fact, an exercise aimed to program purchases and productions for the periods ahead, no matter whether "today" the merchandise is only available on storage where the goods are awaiting an audit of compliance.
Really, in the optimistic view of successful testing, by the MRP analysis is totally natural to consider, as available to the picking, items in stock on these storages.
Entirely different considerations should be made instead in the case of actual picking during “Production Confirmation”. In this latter case, the picking event can not be disjointed from the outcome of the quality control performed.

As always, we invite you to go into issues raised thoroughly by the help of your local dealer. In addition, we remind you that by adhering to our service MLU/MSU, you can follow the course Mago.net - NON EXISTING PAGE Updated Production Area 2.13
