To ensure the proper availability of materials during subcontractor management phases, it is very important to load the correct components in the correct storages. To support those flows of materials through them  in presence of external routing steps,  Mago.NET allows to use  the Subcontractor Delivery Note that automatically generates the proper inventory entries and updates  both fiscal data values and storage quantities for the involved components.

The default subcontractor storage is loaded  through and thanks to storage transfers of material by an unique storage  set as starting point of all process usually called Main Storage.
In general, Mago.NET, in the default configuration, is able to start  the entire subcontracting process only through the subcontractor delivery note that allows to transfer materials from a given main storage to a given subcontractor storage, to manage involved quantities and fiscal data and to physically accompany shipments of components with descriptions of the operations that are to be executed on them.

Perhaps not everyone knows that....

it is possible to choose a desired starting storage from which to pick material depending by the Kind of the involved item and not by the inventory reason linked  to the Delivery Note generation.
By enabling the appropriate manufacturing parameters, "Suggests storages depending on the item Type" it is, in fact, possible to make in manner Mago.net considers the storage managed during picking phases for Semi-finished item or  Raw material.

After the summer break we go back to talking about the peculiarities of Mago.net and its many parameters that give you much scope of configurability of workflow, especially in the production area. In particular, we mention here the storages involved in external processing.

Keep track of materials and record their movements during all phases of processing is always a need strongly felt by those engaged in production. The need becomes necessary when the processes are moving out.
Mago.net, following a development plan to meet as much as possible the wishes of the users was, in time, suitably enriched.

In this regard, perhaps not everyone knows that during the material picking it is possible to distinguish the storage from which to unload the goods used in production by the nature of the article to be taken: raw materials and intermediate products.
More specifically, the procedure "Subcontractor Delivery Note Generation" suggests as storage of departure that shown on the inventory reason used to materials handling.
Enabling the parameter "Suggest storages depending on the item nature" the storage of departure is actually chosen by the nature of item drawing on information given in the sheet Storages in Manufacturing Parameters.

You can get a further level of detail regarding the storage of arrival of the inventory reason involved in the "Subcontractor Delivery Note”. It is possible, in this case, connect directly to a vendor a storage simply activating the parameter Use a different storage for each subcontractor. In connection with this setting must specify the storage in the supplier master data. The result you get now is to have inventory entries where storage of arrival is same joined with the supplier, without the need for specificator.
