All the applicative functions (Business Objects) in Mago.net can be reached through Web Services.
This means that external applications can benefit by the Mago.net applicative components by using the back-end operating system for actions such as recording documents, recuperating information, etc. without having to worry about applicative logics or information organization strategies.
You are protected
Access to Web Services is anyhow subject to the same safety rules as the other access systems and requires authentication beforehand. Profiles can be configured for enabling access to Business Objects involved by the integration only, removing any risk of intrusion from "malicious" applications.
Any technology
The local PC can either be linked through the company network or through Internet, due to the peculiar character of the Web Services
capable of manipulating Web Services and data in the XML format can be used as client: e.g. Office, which in fact uses this approach through MagicDocuments.
Web applications, or developed in Java, can also exploit this approach for integration. from the risk of inconsistent information and independent from software updating when using the back-end applicative through Web Services.
